Имало едно време едно малко момче. То живеело в уютна хижа, дълбоко в гората.

Но когато идвала нощта, нещата се променяли. Всяка вечер, когато си лягало в удобното легло, започвало да мисли да страшни неща. Чувало звуци по среднощ. Понякога имало кошмари и будело родителите си.

Малкото момче се чувствало ужасено в леглото си през нощта. Мислело за чудовища, които живеели в гората. Страхувало се, че ще дойдат в неговата стая и ще го сграбчат.

Неговите родители му обяснявали, че няма чудовища в гората. Успокоява ли го, когато сънувало кошмари и му обяснявали, че е на сигурно място. Но нощния ужас не спирал, нощ след нощ. Нещо трябвало да се направи, защото никой в къщата не можел да спи.
